Best of the Fest Includes: CELAMY, OUT OF PROPORTION, UNFOLDING, REFECTION, CLOSER THAN EVER, THE LETTER WRITER

Celamy: How do we get through childhood traumas with our beings intact? Sometimes we get a little extra help! In this beautifully crafted short film, that feels like it was made for the Spiritual Cinema Circle, Nelly has an imaginary friend who leads her through tough moments with priceless advice and encouragement. But growing up is all about making choices, even for our imaginary friends. [18 minutes in English]

Out Of Proportion: This incredibly funny short film, written, directed by, and starring Scott Cervine, was a real audience favorite at our recent Spiritual Cinema Festival-at-Sea. The film reminds us that if we don't face the emotions we're going through, we can really get out of balance and behave in a way that's truly Out of Proportion! [12 minutes in English]

Unfolding: Lila struggles to deal with her father, who lost him memory years ago. In the midst of her egocentric teenage world, Lila gives her father an incredible gift of compassion and understanding that brings her into the realm of adulthood. Written and directed by Christian Vuissa. [29 Minutes in English]

Reflection: In the director's own words, this film is "a short, suspenseful, bittersweet tale of a family overcoming the loss of a child and ultimately finding peace." Beautifully shot and edited, Reflection won First Prize for Best Short Film at the inaugural Spiritual Cinema Festival-at-Sea. See why this film captured our Jurors' hearts, and why Tony Dean Smith is a filmmaker to keep an eye on! [20 minutes in English]

Closer Than Ever: This is Scott Cervine's second film for the SCC (following the hilarious Out of Proportion), and feels a bit like a sequel to his first short. With Scott's signature great humor and self-reflection, it continues the insight into how we navigate the passing of a parent. Elaborating on how our deepest and most hidden emotions are often the underlying cause of outer "issues", Scott tackles the fear of commitment in this film with some very surprising results! [12 minutes in English]

The Letter Writer: A clever and touching short film about a man in the midst of writing a letter. So simple, yet so profound, this sweet film will resonate for a long time to come. [11 minutes in English]
